Shameful MP of the Day for September 24

​MP Vince Gasparro has parroted the talking points of Pro-Israel groups since the genocide in Gaza began on October 8, 2023.  Gasparro refuses to publicly acknowledge or condemn the genocide being committed by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza.  But Gasparro has now decided that his fealty to the Pro-Israel lobby is even more important that protecting free speech in Canada.
As the Parliamentary Secretary (Combatting Crime), Gasparro banned Kneecap from entering Canada for their  "open endorsement of terrorist organizations." But, of course, Kneecap has never endorsed a terrorist group and has taken a moral position that is entirely consistent with the values of most Canadians – they oppose the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
So, MP Gasparro cannot take one hundred steps from his office to honour and remember the murdered children of Gaza by saying their names aloud.  He is unwilling to provide even the simple  ‘human’ gesture of Saying Their Names, but he also insists that Canada will not allow others to voice support for Palestinians.  Canadians – regardless of political persuasion – should be angered by Gasparro’s inability to remember Gaza’s murdered children, but they should be outraged by his attempts to muzzle Pro-Palestinian voices.
