Shameful MP of the Day for September 25

​We were not surprised that Anthony Housefather refused to join Canadians from across the country in honouring and remembering the murdered children of Gaza by saying their names aloud. Because Anthony has made clear at every opportunity that he supports the genocide in Gaza.
“I’m proud to be a Zionist.”
That is, Anthony is proud to support the murder of more than 680,000 Palestinians in the name of maintaining a state that places one ethnic group  - the Jewish people - over all others.  Just as Nazis murdered six million Jews in the name of maintaining a state that placed one ethnic group – the Aryans - over all others.

Housefather is also proud to have led the charge for Canada to adopt the IHRA’s definition of antisemitism.  The IHRA definition defines the preceding paragraph as antisemitic because antisemitism includes “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.”  Despite the parallels between Israeli policy in Palestine and Nazi policy in Germany during WW 2 being unmistakable.

Housefather applauds Canada’s decision to ignore International law and vote against 89% of UN resolutions singling out Israel for condemnation for its actions in Gaza and the West Bank.  He is proud that Canada’s record “…was similar only to the US among large countries.”

Housefather voted for continuing to supply arms to Israel.

Housefather voted against providing aid to the people of Gaza.

Housefather voted against recognition of Palestinian statehood and because of his party’s decision said, “he was considering leaving the party and sitting as an independent but ultimately decided to stay.”   

Sure.  Because to leave the party would be to lose his seat…and the one thing Housefather places above Israel is his own welfare.  Running as an independent would have cost Housefather his power, his prestige, his pension and most importantly his pay cheque.  Even supporting the rogue state of Israel is not a principle that Housefather will place above his own interests.
