Thank you to nine members of parliament

After five days on Parliament Hill honouring and remembering the more than 20000 children murdered by the occupying forces of Israel in Gaza – only the children who were recovered and recognizable – nine members of parliament chose to stand with Canadians from across the country to Say Their Names.

• Sean Casey (Liberal – Charlottetown),
• Sameer Zuberi (Liberal – Pierrefonds-Dollard)

We thank these MPs for standing with us.  And we ask them to redouble their efforts to slow the pace at which children’s names are being added to the list.  We ask this, in particular, of Salma, Sean and Sameer, who belong to the party governing our country.  Without a two-way arms embargo, economic sanctions and strict adherence to international law, the Saying of Names will be cold comfort for bereft Palestinians in Gaza.  We thank these nine MPs…but it is not enough.  Not nearly enough.
